Copy and Content Writers

We are always interested to hear from self-employed content writers or direct response copywriters who are interested in joining the Raspberry Flamingo flock.

We have some quite specific requirements so please read all this page and follow the application process outlined.

Are you a CONTENT WRITER OR A DIRECT RESPONSE COPYWRITER?

Whilst most Direct Response Copywriters can write content, it's not usually what they like to do... unsurprisingly they like writing direct response copy.

If you are a content writer then creating direct response copy is a whole other skill set.

Here at Raspberry Flamingo we use both skills - but prefer to work with specialists in both categories rather than writers offering both services.

Raspberry Flamingo’s clients are, in the main, small business owners from the UK, Australia, America and Canada.

We offer full on-page SEO content and copy – we are specialists!

To join the team we would need you to have:

Life experience
Worked within different sectors
A flexible attitude to writing styles
An understanding of terms such as ‘pain points’, ‘target market’, ‘calls to action’, and the general principles of marketing
The ability to deliver quality work to meet deadlines – speed is great but quality is way more important
The desire to work to Raspberry Flamingo briefs, to deliver work for our clients of the quality and standard they have come to know and expect
Personality in bucket loads

We welcome part-time writers, writers who are not yet familiar with on-page SEO, and aspiring writers with excellent levels of English language.

What we are not looking for:

Writers who are looking to grow their own client base or agency and, therefore, will let us down if direct work comes in (just being honest)
Writers with their ‘own style’ – we write in our client’s styles, aimed at their target audience, not our own.

your availability in terms of hours per week

links to, or samples of your work

There are no right or wrong answers to any of the above, please just be honest. We take everyone as we find them and evaluate as individuals.

Please note: We may well ask if we can speak to past clients of work you show us for references. And, we ask all our writers to sign, and comply to, our ‘Rules of the Game’ and a Non-Disclosure Agreement.
