I cut my copy teeth, more years ago than I would like to admit, in my first job after full time education working for an advertising agency.
My love for all things written and marketing have continued throughout my whole career.
A life changing accident in August 2017 meant that I had to start over and create a new business after 18 months of being unable to work or walk unaided!
It’s strange how all the twists and turns of a varied career led to Raspberry Flamingo. From working in that ad agency, to spending 16 years working at one of the UK’s top universities, to being self employed for a number of years… everything has led to today.
Not only has the varied experience benefited me greatly, but my love of learning, of people, and of business in general means that I get to know my clients well. I understand their businesses and their target audience. And, because I understand, I am able to write in the correct style for them.
Being a copy or content writer isn’t about having your own style… its about being able to write your clients words to attract their dream customer.

The team of writers at Raspberry Flamingo are all hand picked by Claire for their experience. (We’d add photos of them all but they prefer to stay hidden behind their laptops.)
When a writer joins the team, they sign NDA’s and Claire trains them in the correct way to write SEO content.
The differences in their careers to date and life experience means that when a new client comes onboard, their work can be given to the appropriate member of the team (if Claire’s not personally writing it).
Once a writer is allocated to a client, they stay with that client.
Our process is that the team writer drafts the work. It is then sent through to Claire for editing, proofing, and making sure the SEO is spot on.
Claire then issues the work to the client.
This ensures quality and, we are proud to say that, very few amendments are ever received from our clients because we take the time to get to know them at the beginning of their journey with us.
